visitors!

On Tuesday my mom, BreAnne, Maddie and Maccoy came to visit us! I took work off and after my classes I met the girls (and Maccoy!) at the Old Spaghetti Factory (our favorite!) for lunch.
Maccoy loved it!
After lunch we went shopping! Justin came too and got to hold Maccoy for a bit while us girls were busy looking for new clothes! Justin loved holding Maccoy. And Maccoy is growing up so much, it was so great to see him and be able to hold him. He is smiling a lot now and is really just starting to have quite a fun personality.

We really shopped till we dropped! It wasn't until about nine o'clock on Tuesday night that my mom, BreAnne, Maddie and Maccoy finally were on their way back home. It was such a great day, and much needed! Being a little ways away from my family I am always missing them a lot and I love any and every chance I get to spend time with them!

nuestro primera dia de san valentin...

Another first for us and it was such a great day. And visiting the temple was only our first stop. It is always so wonderful to be able to go to the temple with Justin. It was snowing really hard when we first got to the temple and by the time we came out everything was just so white and beautiful that I just had to take a picture. I think the mountains in the background of the Provo temple are so gorgeous especially covered in snow.
Before we went to the temple Justin surprised me with a single rose and the exciting news that we were going to be staying at a bed and breakfast for the night up in the mountains near Heber City!!! I was so so so surprised!!! We had promised each other that we weren't going to give each other gifts for Valentine's Day but just spend our day together by going to the temple and then maybe dinner and a movie. So at first when Justin told me that he had something for me I was a little upset with the stinker because if he got something for me then I wanted to get something for him! But he told me that this gift was something we would both really enjoy, and we did! So, after having a scrumptious dinner at the Olive Garden we headed up to Heber City and spent the night watching movies and eating treats. Sunday morning we slept in and once we were up we were served a delicious breakfast before we headed back home to make it in time for church at one. I loved it so much! I am such a very lucky and spoiled girl to have such an amazing husband who knows how much I love love love surprises, and I especially loved this one! I loved spending the whole day with Justin, feeling close to one another at the temple, having time to talk at dinner, and spending a relaxing night away for home. Who could ask for more! Thank you Justin for such an incredible weekend! Happy Valentine's Day! ...Te amo.

oh! our crazy, BUT fun weekend!

Life can be so very busy, crazy and hectic sometimes, but after sitting down, taking a deep breath and looking back on all that has happened this past weekend, it's not hard to realize that life is busy, very busy sometimes, but really isn't that how life always is?! This is what life is all about -being busy, loving every minute of it, and having each other to enjoy it all together- I say yes.
Justin is the king of setting up the camera timer so that we can take pictures of each other without having to find someone to take the picture for us. When we took these first two pictures Justin was giving me a hard time for wanting to take pictures, again! So, I told Justin fine, we don't need to take a picture and I left the room while Justin was left to pose for this picture by himself. Before the timer went off Justin was trying to convince me to come back and take the picture with him, but I said no. When the timer was just about to go off I looked at Justin and immediately started laughing so hard because he was just sitting on the couch by himself smiling this cheesy smile and pretending that I was still sitting right next to him! It makes me laugh really hard to just even think about it right now! I love my silly husband.
Girls night out! And I took full advantage of my time out with the girls for my dear old roommate Melissa's birthday! Yes, I am wearing my heels and loving every second of it! (Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly and completely happy with my wonderful and short husband, BUT that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a nice night out with my girlfriends wearing my so cute and quite neglected high heels!)
This past Saturday night I went out to dinner with my old roommates for a birthday celebration for Melissa. It was so much fun, Lyndsey, Carrie, and Aubrey were there and it was so great to get together with my amazing friends. (Also there was one of the girls new roommates, and another friend from the ward.)
I brought cupcakes to dinner so that we could sing to Melissa and she could blow out candles and make a birthday wish!
Happy happy birthday to Melissa!
I love my dear roommate Melissa so much! She is such a wonderful person. My most very favorite thing about Melissa is how happy she just always is. I have never seen Melissa mean to or angry at anyone. She always has a smile on her face, and always has been able to make me smile just by being around her, no matter what kind of mood I am in. I love this girl!
It was so great to be able to catch up with all the girls. I haven't seen them very much since Justin and I got married so it was so nice to be able to hear all about what they are up to with school, work, the ward, and of course it is always fun to get the latest scoop on the topic of boys! I loved every minute of it!

Maccoy's baby blessing was this past Sunday. So after a very, very, very crazy night of work for Justin, (he was on call on Saturday and ended up working for 14 super long hours on Saturday and didn't get home until 5 o'clock in the morning!!!) our alarm went off at 5:45 to get up and ready to head out to Tremonton for the blessing. Of course, it was very worth it to make the sleepy drive out and be able to see this such sweet little boy be blessed by his daddy.
A very happy little family.

After the blessing the whole family headed to Brigham City to have a little luncheon at the dentist office that BreAnne works for. It was lots of fun to see and be with all the kids, but, for me, the most fun of all was being able to sneak in a chance to be able to hold adorable, little Maccoy for a bit!
Here is Kyla and her boyfriend Dallas.
Macy and Maddie. I think they look like they could be sisters. Maddie loves Macy so much I'm sure she wishes Macy really was her sister!
Brooklyn as a monkey?! She is such a silly girl!
(She was trying to cross her eyes in this picture! She is really good at it, but I couldn't take the picture at the exact right time...)

After the blessing and luncheon Justin and I made the long drive home and went right back to bed! Justin slept for 5 hours before I decided that I better wake him up so that he could study! School and work have been super busy for both of us this past week or so, and after such a crazy weekend it was sad to remember how much school work we still had to do! Oh well though, what can ya do? Nevertheless, we still had a great weekend.
