In 3 days...

Keaton and I are going to be in Disneyland!!!

For me this is like a dream come true! My absolute favorite holiday is Halloween and I have always wanted to visit Disneyland in October!

How might you ask did Keaton and I get so lucky? Well, my crazy sister BreAnne entered a contest on Freebies2Deals.com a while back to win a free trip to Disneyland... she told me I should enter too- I told her that she would never win- I told her that as soon as she won something like that I would start entering contests like that... and then SHE WON! And, not only that, she invited Keaton and I to come with her, her husband, and their little boy Maccoy!

I am so stinkin' excited that I can hardly stand it!

(I am super sad to be leaving Justin behind, but I think he understand.) :)

The view from here.

Happy Fall. :)

He came and he went.

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to yet another great missionary! Elder Pese was only here in Columbus for 1 transfer, but he was an awesome missionary and we are really going to miss him! We know the people where he serves next will be greatly blessed to have him. :)

A Fall tradition- Special Agent Oso Style ;)

Caramel apples are one of my very most favorite Fall treats! And on Wednesday afternoon Keaton and I invited some friends over to help us make them. :)
Step 1- Everything out and ready to go.
Aly, Jake, and Tyler Hyde (some of our favorite friends from the branch) helped make the apples. They also had lots of fun playing with Keaton and watching one of my favorite Halloween movies- Monster House.
Step 2- Cover the apples in caramel! The kids each took turns dipping a couple of apples.
Step 3- Add white chocolate and cinnamon sugar over the top of the caramel! (a.k.a. the reason why these apples are so yummy and absolutely addicting!)
They turned out perfect! So in honor of Keaton's favorite show (at the moment) we followed our 3 special steps and made these delicious caramel apples to enjoy!!! (he, he.) We all had a lot of fun. :)

Approaching Fall.

On Sunday afternoon after watching the last session of General Conference we went on a walk. The colors of Fall are everywhere here and with all the big trees that line each side of the street in the little town of Columbus, Nebraska, we are surrounded by all the leaves that are changing into the perfectly vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows and beginning to fall in gushes from the trees. We had lots of fun crunching the leaves underfoot as we enjoyed the cool, but beautiful Fall weather as we spend some time outdoors. Keaton loved  every second of it. We all did. :)

BYU vs. Utah State (Go BYU!)

(from left to right- Aly, Zach, Jake, Melissa, Scott, Tyler, Ben, and Kari)

For the BYU vs. Utah State football game we all got together at the Hyde's house for a little rivalry party! Ha, ha. It was a lot of fun to spend some time with some of our favorite friends here in Nebraska- plus BYU won! :)

Hiding.

I spent (what felt like forever) today cleaning. This little guy spent his time hiding under Justin and I's bed. He thought it was the coolest place to hang out ever. :)
