"You've had a birthday!"

"...Shout HURRAY! We want to sing to you today! One year older and wiser too! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

On Justin's BIG day we CELEBRATED by...

going out to dinner with the Wong's to Chili's,

lighting candles on a cake made of strawberries and whip cream,
singing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday boy,
then watching him blow out his candles and make a wish,
and last, seeing the smile on his face as he opened his birthday gifts.

I am pretty sure that Justin had a pretty good birthday. (I tried really hard to make it his special day...I even tried to talk him into letting us play "hookie" from work, but Justin said he had to go- I think I was more bummed then him!) He really didn't get much in the way of presents from me, just a few little things. And well, plus the money. (Seems like a lot when it's all 1 dollar bills huh? :) ) Justin has really been wanting to fix a few problems with his truck and so now he has a little bit of money to do it with. I am positive this was his favorite present. :) All in all, it was a pretty fun day. Justin had his favorite meal at Chili's- crispy chicken tacos-, and was sung to after our meal by three, very nice, waiters/waitresses with horrible pitch (who were singing much too slow- you know what I mean Michele!!!) while surrounded by some other (somewhat disgruntled) Chili's guests, was given a delicious brownie with ice cream on top, which we all shared and then, we celebrated more at home with another round of singing, "cake," and a few presents. What a fun day to spend together! I love birthdays so much. I especially love sharing this special kind of day with the one person who is most special to me. :)
