A wonderful, fun-filled weekend with Maddie! On Thursday, Maddie rode home from work with me on Trax and stayed the weekend with Justin and I.
And yep, I did Maddie's hair the whole time. This masterpiece in particular I was especially proud of. I'll be honest I'm not the best at doing hair on anyone- including myself really! -but I think I did a pretty good job of making Maddie look decent for the weekend. :)
On Thursday night I made us haystacks for dinner and then we all attempted to watch Bucket List and all of us failed miserably we were all so tired!
On Friday I slept in till ten because Maddie never came and got me to tell me that she was up! (She just read her book while I slept! Maybe I am rubbing off on her. :) ) Once I was up we spent the rest of the morning cleaning and putting up my fall decorations. Ahhh...I absolutely love the fall! At lunch time Maddie and I got all ready for the day and made sack lunches to take and have lunch with Justin at school. It was fun to spend a little bit of time with him and after we had lunch Maddie and I had fun looking around at the BYU Bookstore. In the afternoon, while Justin stayed on campus to study, Maddie and I did a little bit of shopping. We didn't end up buying anything but we had lots of fun looking around at all the fall decorations at each of the stores we went to. Friday night Justin and I took Maddie with us to a BYU 237th ward reunion at Bishop Harker's! It was a blast, and even though I didn't get any pictures like I wish that I would have it was just so much fun to see all our old friends from the ward and catch up. Even Brother Brand was there with his sweet wife, who I haven't seen since they were released from the bishopric about, oh I don't know, like four years ago! So after spending a couple of hours visiting with old friends Maddie and Justin then played Super Nintendo together for a bit (Nintendo was the major highlight of our weekend, Maddie was addicted!) and then we tried again to watch a movie. This one was called Sugar and we really didn't last long with this one because there were subtitles to read and we just pretty much gave up!
On Saturday Maddie played video games all morning while I did chores around the house. Justin had to go to the school and study so me and Mad just hung out around the apartment until he got home at around 2 o'clock and then we all went to lunch at Chili's. It was delicious! We also went to the movies and saw the new movie 9. It was a pretty strange movie and I don't think any of us really knew how to feel about it even in the end. Then, of course, Maddie was ready to be back at the apartment to play Nintendo some more! Maddie and Justin played for hours and only stopped once they defeated Super Mario. Next up, movie time again. And this time we stayed up late watching and FINISHING Race to Witch Mountain. It was a really fun movie and I think we all enjoyed it quite a bit.On Sunday morning we headed home. It was such a fun weekend and we were all sad for it to be over already. If I had it my way I would be happy for Maddie to live with us all the time! But having her come to visit now and again is surely the next best thing!

So much fun! She'll remember all those fun times staying with her AWESOME older sister. You are so great and I love the hair.
