Hey Mr. Grumpy Gills, you know what you gotta do when life gets you down?
Just keep swimming...
just keep swimming...
just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...
What do we do we swim, swim, swim!
OH HO HO, how I love to swim!
When you WAAAAAANNTTT to swim you want to swim!
Lately I have felt a lot like Mr. Grumpy Gills. No, life hasn't been all that bad really, and most of my grumpiness might just come from having a bad attitude. And I had to keep telling myself that having a horrible attitude would only make things worse. And, of course, I was right, it did make things worse. And sometimes this little phrase would cross my mind, "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..." So, I tried it. I just kept swimming on my way to work, and I just kept swimming while I was at work, and I just kept swimming on my way home from work, and I just kept swimming as the day started all over again. Now don't get me wrong, I really like my job. I love my patients that I get to work with and I love Primary Children's Hospital, but I have kinda struggled with my new job for a couple different reasons. The long commute was one of those reasons, but also I have struggled quite a bit with the people I work with and it has made my time at work hard. And although I did a lot of complaining to Justin (and other random friends and family here and there) I really did try hard to "just keep swimming" every work day. And now after swimming and swimming each long work day after each long work day (doing better on some days than others) just keeping swimming has paid off in a big way.
I have been offered a great opportunity at work. There is a new hospital opening in Riverton and at that hospital there will be a Primary Children's campus that offers outpatient services. And I will be the Coordinator of the Outpatient Lab at this facility! I am so excited! This couldn't have come at a better time. Not only will the Riverton site be a lot closer to home, but it will also be a better schedule for me, quite a big pay raise, and I have been able to help with hiring the two other people that I will work with there! I am so lucky! Justin and I are so blessed. This new position will help us so much financially and it will make it so that we have more time together at night to spend without feeling to exhausted and crazy. Also, I will be able to do better about making a nice dinner for us every night, which is a goal of mine that is important to me. So, as you can see, there are lots of bonuses to this new job. It's all just so great! I am happy and glad for the chance everyday to "just keep swimming."

Yeah I'm so excited for you! That is so great! Also I love that you put the whole part of Finding Nemo in there. You are so wonderful and you will do a great job!
Sounds like you put up with a lot and now you are blessed with a great job. Congratulations!
Yay, congratulations! Isn't it wonderful how things like jobs and where we live just work out? Same thing happened with Kaulana's job a couple months ago. He started his new job I guess just 6 weeks ago now. Everything just seems to fall into place at just the right time if we're living the way we should. Yay for blessings. : ) Good luck at your new job! It sounds awesome!
