There is nothing like starting the New Year off with a nice, spotlessly clean house. And man, our house really needed a good cleaning after being gone for 2 weeks for the holidays! I think we pretty much packed our whole house up to go home to West Point and then we had all our stuff to bring back PLUS all the Christmas presents we were spoiled with. :) So, yesterday I spent ALL DAY LONG unpacking all of our crap and cleaning our apartment from top to bottom.( I also took down all our Christmas decorations and put up our Valentine's Day decorations.) Good thing Keaton is such a content little baby or I wouldn't have been able to accomplish as much as I did. And, good thing Justin is such a patient and loving husband, since after I was done cleaning I left him with Keaton and went grocery shopping and then stayed up till 3 am putting away groceries, doing laundry, packing Justin lunch, setting out cinnamon rolls to raise before breakfast, making hard-boiled eggs, and balancing the checkbook. (What can I say? I was on a roll!)
So, an explanation for these pictures. Back in December, Ani noticed in our Christmas tree pictures that I must have done some rearranging in our house and told me I needed to take some pictures and document our changes to look back on someday, plus, she really wanted to see how we had changed things around. (Sorry I never took any pictures till now, Ani, but better late than never right?)
In the beginning of December we had to buy a new computer. (Justin's laptop gave out on us!) and Justin really wanted the computer to be out in the family room instead of in Keaton's room, which meant we needed to do some major rearranging to make it fit.
I didn't take any pictures of our room, but one of our decorative tables that used to be in the family room now resides in our bedroom. All of our rooms are now pretty much packed to the gills. We just have accumulated so much in our tiny apartment it is hard to find a place for it all... So this table that I set up in Keaton's room has become "the home to all things that don't have a home."
I think it all has turned out pretty nice, after a good scrub, a trip with a bunch of junk to the DI, and the sweetest baby to keep us company our home is such a happy place.
