my "big" boy!

Jan. 21st- Doesn't he look soooo cute in his overalls! I think he looks like such a "big" boy in them.

Keaton has really started liking to look at toys and listen to music playing or the sound of your voice. He doesn't really hold on to/play with his toys yet, but he loves to look at them and when he is happy he will lay under this toy for hours. :)
Jan. 24th- Keaton turned 5 months old on Monday! That just seems so very weird to me. He is getting so big, yet he is still so little. He is such a good boy. Since the beginning of the year he has been sleeping 10-12 hours through the night!
Jan. 26th- Yesterday, Keaton and I made a quick trip to West Point to visit for a little bit. (I just really needed to get out of the house for a few hours...I really can't wait for winter to just be over...) Maccoy also came over to grandma's house and said it would be okay if Keaton watched Brother Bear with him. (My mom got much better pictures of them sitting by each other than I did- by the time I got my camera out Keaton was pretty done "watching" the movie. :) )

Today Keaton had his "4 month" doctor appointment. (Keaton turned 5 months old on Monday, but his adjusted age makes him 3 months old on this coming Sunday, kinda confusing, I know.) But, it was real fun to take him to the doctor and find out how much he is growing. He now weighs 10 lbs. 8 1/2 oz. and is 22 inches long. :) The doctor says he is looking really good and Keaton was a very good boy, even when he had to get his shots. He cried, of course, but he got over it pretty quickly and as soon as we left the doctor's office he fell fast asleep. Apparently, though my "big" boy isn't quite as big as he needs to be. He ranks in the 5th percentile in all areas and the doctor says he needs to be eating more and that somehow I need to fit in an extra feeding into Keaton's day. (So, maybe sleeping 10-12 hours in the night isn't such a good thing? Ha, ha.) He also said we need to start fortifying Keaton's formula a little bit so that he will start gaining a little more weight. The worst news is that Keaton's doctor says that RSV season is just starting and that it would be best for us to keep Keaton away from everyone for a few more months. I know it's what is best for him, and although it's NOT what I wanted to hear, I couldn't handle my baby being back in the hospital again and that is right where the doctor says we will be if we don't continue to be careful! Let the countdown begin... about 3 more months to go! I can do it! :)
