Wednesday, May 29th- We really only had a few hours to spend in Kirtland before we needed to make the rest of our trip to our new home in Cockeysville, Maryland, but we were able to see a few great sites before we had to leave.
Keaton in the LDS visitors center in front of a small replica of the Kirtland Temple. (He really wanted me to take a picture of him and then kept asking how to open the doors so he could go inside. :)
There are many homes and buildings in Kirtland that the missionaries do tours through and we were able to visit quite a few of them. All the tours we were taken on (here and in Nauvoo) were so informative and spiritually enlightening it really was such a great experience.
We also were able to tour the Kirtland Temple. (After paying $9 to the Community of Christ church who currently own the temple.) It was neat to be able to see inside the temple and hear a little bit of the history from when it was first built.
