This super sweet baby girl now weighs 11 lbs. 10 oz. and is 23 inches long. (She still is and always has been in less than the 5th percentile for both her weight and height.) Aisley is such a happy baby. For a while right after she was born it seemed like her eyes might be more hazel colored like Justin, but now they have turned completely brown just like mine and Keaton's. Aisley is constantly smiling and giggling. The only time she ever seems to get upset is nap time. So, needless to say, she isn't the best nap taker these days. She takes one big- 3 hour long- nap in the morning but then after that nap time is pretty hit and miss. For a while though she was sleeping between 10-12 hours at night! (Until just recently and for the last week or so she has been waking up once or twice between 8 pm- 1 am- I'm pretty sure she has been going through a little growth spurt.) About a week before Aisley's 6 month mark we started her on solids! She isn't always a huge fan, but each day when we give her sweet potatoes or green beans etc. she seems to get more used to the new tastes and textures. For the past couple months I have been working with Aisley to get her to take a bottle at least once a day or every other day- if I ever need to go any where without her or if there is an emergency or something and I suddenly can't nurse I want to be sure that Aisley won't go hungry! She really struggled taking a bottle at first (especially a formula bottle) but now takes a bottle without too much of a problem, at least for me anyway... for some reason she hasn't let Justin give her a bottle lately! (I guess we will keep working on that!) Aisley can't quite sit up by herself yet, but she is getting closer everyday. Aisley loves to play on the floor with her toys. She is especially happy when her big brother Keaton plays with her! Aisley and Keaton are such great little siblings/friends and they seem to have a way of always being able to cheer the other one up. Another one of Aisley's favorite things is bath time. She loves to kick and splash in the tub! If she is ever sad or especially fussy a quick soak in the tub always seems to help. Aisley no longer cries when she can't see me, but she is no longer okay with strangers holding her and cries until she is back safely in my arms. Just recently Aisley has discovered her feet- and she loves to suck on her toes! We love our Aisley Pearl so very much and just can't believe how quickly the past 6 months have flown by!
