More fun stuff from Sister Walk!
A yummy (Maryland favorite) treat that we enjoyed our first night in Nauvoo. (Justin's boss gave him these as a "going away" gift.)
Waiting to participate in the Trail of Hope our first night in Nauvoo.
A view of the Nauvoo temple in the distance while walking back to our car after the Trail of Hope performance. (Which was amazing, by the way- a must see while in Nauvoo and we got lucky enough to see it! They only do one performance a week, on Sunday nights, and we just so happened to be in Nauvoo by Sunday night.)
June 9th-
We all LOVED our wagon ride around the cute town of Nauvoo!
Keaton learned the pros and cons of having to carry your own water... Ha ha!
While the kids took a quick snooze in the car we drove out to Carthage Jail and then once they both woke up (Both our kiddos were soooo tired our entire trip- we were just always going, going, going!) we took a tour of the jail. (We debated whether or not we wanted to go out to the jail again this year, but we were both so glad that we did- the tour was the same and yet very different and we all felt the spirit testify to us that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God.
The window that Joseph fell from.
The bullet holes in the door.
After visiting Carthage we headed back to Nauvoo and Keaton made a hat and joined all the kids and the young performing missionaries in the Children's parade. He had such a fun time!
Can you spot Justin, Keaton, and Aisley??
June 10th-
After breakfast the boys went swimming while Aisley took a nap!
A picture of us with Sister Walker just before leaving Nauvoo- this sweet sister we saw several times throughout our visit in Nauvoo and was just so sweet to our family! We are so very grateful to have met her and for her love for us!
