Road Trip back to Utah- Last stop- NEBRASKA!

June 11th-
Wahoo! More goodies from Sister Walk!
Of course, we just had to stop in Nebraska on our drive back to Utah. It was one of the biggest reasons we wanted to road trip it back to Utah as opposed to flying back. Before making it to our favorite little town of Columbus, Nebraska we made a quick stop in Omaha to see this amazing family! Mike and Justin were companions in the mission and we are so glad we got to catch up with them- (the Osborn's had just moved to Nebraska a few weeks earlier- I was only a little bit jealous!- for Mike to do is medical residency) Thanks Mike, Marianne, and girls for feeding us lunch and letting us take a break at your cute house!
We made it to Columbus in the late afternoon (I'll spare you the details of my tragic breakdown, for that's a story in and of itself and must be saved for another time...) and after a fun dinner at one of our fav places, The Picket Fence Cafe, with Kevin Banner (the new MDP working with BD Medical and current resident- with his cute wife and 2 kids- of our house in Columbus) and his wife and toddler girl and baby boy (I can't remember their names...) we then headed over to Jacob and Ashley Hamik's! Oh, how we miss these amazing friends! We got to see sweet Harper (who has gotten soooo big) and meet super cute baby boy Heston who was only a week or so old! We could have stayed at their house for hours and hours just catching up! And, when it was finally time to go it was really hard for me to say goodbye! We love you, Hamik family!
June 12th-
Our old branch president, President Lindquist, and his wife Linda were so kind to let us stay at their house the night we were in Nebraska. They had their home all prepared for us and not only did Linda serve us amazing food, but of course we also were surrounded by two of the most amazing people I know. Ron and Linda have become like family to us and we love them so very much.
Shortly after we moved away from Nebraska, Linda found out that she had cancer. But, let me tell you, for not one minute did she let this sad news get her down and she has been the perfect example of strength and resilience for me and I'm so grateful to her for that. In these pictures her hair is finally growing back! Oh, it was so great to see the Lindquist's!

We also stopped by the Melissa and Russell Bishop's house (Russell was at work) and I got to catch up with Melissa while the kids played together.
Keaton and Aisley with Derek and Mckayla Bishop.
Me and Aisley with Melissa. (Oh, how I miss all my wonderful Nebraska friends!)

After leaving the Bishop's, Justin dropped me and the kids off at the Reeves' house so that I visit with Taralee and meet baby Clara for the first time while Justin went to catch up with Shannon Vavra.
Our cute baby girls together. :)

Me and Taralee with our baby girls. (Have I mentioned yet how much I miss Nebraska... especially all my amazing friends...)

And then last but not least- our final stop of the night before starting out on the road again- dinner with the Spicer's at Dusters (another fav)! Yay for spending some time with our best BFF's! And yay for meeting their brand new baby girl Annalise for the first time!

Running away from the buffalo... Ha ha!

Ben with his sidekick, Keaton. :)
Baby besties playing together for the first time!

Oh, how I miss this girl! She is my best friend, always there for me through thick and thin, silly and sad. So grateful for you Kari!
