The 1st half of April 2016

April 2nd- General Conference weekend and Mckell's birthday! Justin's family all came to West Point for the weekend to celebrate, We went to the park and later on, during the General Priesthood session, us girls and the kids all went and got ice cream.

In other news, Aisley is potty training!!! And, doing pretty great so far! (As long as she gets a piece of bubble gum after each time she even attempts to go to the bathroom than she is quite happy!)

April 3rd- General Conference coloring.

April 4th-
I love it when they choose to sit close and cozy next to each other. (Without yelling at the other one to move somewhere else!)
While Justin was out of time and at bedtime one night, I looked out the window of Aisley's room and saw this van sitting in our driveway. I asked Keaton if he had heard the doorbell ring. He hadn't. And, I hadn't either. I put Aisley to bed waiting for someone to come to the door. No one ever did and I got a funny feeling about the van being there, especially since Justin was out of town. I called my mom and told her and she sent Hunter over to check it out. The van was empty and no one was around. (I made Hunter check both outside and inside of our house, all the window wells and in the garage. He didn't find anything strange. Finally, I decided I wasn't going to be able to go to sleep with some strange van in my driveway so I called the police. A police officer came over and checked this out and found out who the van belonged to. (They live just around the corner from our house.) The officer left to go and get someone to come and get their van and find out why it was parked there. Long story short, apparently, a young adult aged girl in this family borrowed the van and decided to park it in my driveway for some unknown reason. The police officer said that he didn't think there was more to it than this girl making a strange decision and that perhaps she was hiding something from her parents. It was weird. Anyways, they took their van home. Very strange experience to have happen while Justin was away.
April 5th- Boondocks with BreAnne, Kyla, and our kids.

I have no reasons to feel unsatisfied with my life currently, but it is always a good reminder to "embrace the life you have." I know I am very blessed in so many ways.

April 6th-
That face. That smile. This girl. She makes me so very happy. I love her and feel so very blessed that she is mine.

Little did I know that this red eye was quickly turning into pink eye for Keaton and both of my other children... I took a picture so I could keep on eye on its progress- whether it was getting better or worse. Rich ended up with bad pink eye first, but Aisley and Keaton were both quick to follow.

April 7th- Zoo day with Kayte, BreAnne, and all 9 of our children!!! It isn't often at all that we get a chance to all get together, so this was a very special and fun day! The weather was perfect and the kids had so much fun exploring the zoo together. Kayte, BreAnne, and I also had some much needed sister time. 15 years ago we were all teenage girls taking about the family we would some day have, and now here we are! Each of us have 3 kids and amazing husbands and it is just so much fun to be able to spend some time together in this season of our lives.

Meanwhile, while we were all at the zoo, Hunter was chasing down the mail lady in order to get his much anticipated mission call papers!!! That night he opened them, surrounded by all of his family and friends... Hunter has been called to serve in the Richmond, Virginia mission (same mission as my cousin Macy!)!!! (The last 4 missionaries in our family have been called to the same 2 missions- My brother got called to the Philippines, Macy to Virginia, my other cousin Jackson is currently serving in the Philippines, and in July, Hunter will start his mission in Virginia. Kinda crazy, right? No coincidence I don't think!) We are so very happy for Hunter and we know he will be a fantastic missionary. Yay Hunter!

Looking back at a year ago...

April 8th- Justin came home from his work trip and we all missed him terribly and decided we needed an afternoon spent together doing something fun- just as our family of 5. We went to Salt Lake and went on a tiny hike by Ensign Peak, at dinner at the food court at City Creek, and walked around the temple grounds, where the kids were given a little picture of the temple by the sister missionaries. We all had a great time.

 April 9th-

April 12th- I moved Rich out of our room tonight and into his/Keaton's room. Oh, man was it hard. Not because he didn't do a great job, cause he did! But, because it means my baby isn't quite such a little baby anymore and that makes me a bit sad. I sure love my baby Rich so very much (despite his growing up without my permission!) and am so happy that I get to be his mom.

April 13th- 7 months old!!! (two weeks late...) Rich continues to be such a happy and content little guy. He very rarely cries. He loves being on his belly. He doesn't love baby food. He is so so so close to sitting up on his own! We love our happy, all smiles baby boy!

Enjoying some Fizz and Waffle Wagon!!!

Keaton and Aisley sitting on the hamburger seats at Red Robin before eating dinner as a family for Curtis's birthday!!! Happy Birthday uncle Curtis! You are the best and we love you!
April 14th-
Hmmm...!
Round 2 in the doll stroller. Aisley got in and told Keaotn, "Okay, I'm ready for a ride!"

April 15th- Things I try to remember. :)
