Last night for family night Justin and I made and frosted sugar cookies to give to our neighbors as a Christmas gift. It was lots of fun. We made STARS, and CHRISTMAS TREES, GINGERBREAD MEN, and CHRISTMAS BELLS. I think our stars and trees turned out the best. Sadly our gingerbread men look quite ghostly because of the white frosting- I guess I should have done them brown, or made chocolate frosting. But we had fun decorating all the gingerbread men with jelly beans for eyes, mouth, and buttons. :)
poor little fella's they are extremely ghostly looking... :(
Also yesterday, in my attempt to avoid studying for my finals I wrapped lots and lots of Christmas presents for Justin :) and for our families. I love having a tree that has lots of presents underneath it, it makes me realize just how close Christmas really is. And it finally snowed lots and lots today which made me way happy! It's really not my favorite to be cold, or to play, or drive in the snow, but what I love most of all is cuddling up in a blanket in our apartment on the couch by our window with a good book to read, while every once and a while looking out to see the beautiful falling snow!

i love love it when it is cold, it makes reading the best, except when your fingers are so cold you don't want to turn the page haha.
Looks like you had a lot of fun decorating Christmas cookies. Jacob and I make cinnamon rolls for neighbors every year. Your sister should be having her baby any time now. will you let us now when. We are 5 minutes away for the hospital she's going to be at. THANKS...
cute cookies they look yummy. i was thinking of making sugar cookies too. still might. i wrapped presents yesterday too, but i couldn't leave them under our tree because of my little UNwrapper. So they have to go out Christmas Eve. Yes, Scott has a snowmobile, but I have still never gone. He loves it more then anything!
Ashley! I'm alive! Come read the HUGE post I left on my blog describing my "tonsil removal" experience... it has SUCKED!! I believe I am out of the worst part of it though... I sure hope so!
Your cookie decorating activity looks way fun! What a great idea to do for friends and neighbors! Especially on a tight budget! I don't know about you but Juj and I are REALLY feeling the financial stress of getting presents for EVERYONE! We try to be creative and we do the best we can, and yes it is still fun but... man... it also hurts the checkbook.
I hope to TALK to you soon girlie... It hurts too much to talk still so it might be awhile before you hear from me but I will try to stay in contact via blogging and internet k?
Will you leave me a phone message of your address though so I can send you our Christmas card?
At least you've made something! I keep thinking I'm going to make some treats, and I keep putting it off. They're way cute and look delicious!
