o CHRISTMAS tree, o christmas TREE

On Saturday, after cleaning up our house and putting away all of our fall decorations Justin helped me to put up our FIRST Christmas tree! I have been so excited. Justin got me a lot of way fun Christmas decorations for my birthday and it was way fun to put them up. Especially with Justin's help. Justin set up the tree and together we put all our decorations on it. Justin says our tree looks very elegant which was a way big compliment for me and makes me smile every time I see our beautiful tree. And even though its still kinda sad to me that we have a fake tree instead of a real tree, our house still has that wonderful Christmas tree smell because for my birthday Grandma Adams gave me a scentsy flavor that smells just perfect and I plugged it right in as soon as we put our tree up, and Patti, the lady that visit teaches me even came today and thought the good smell was our tree for real! I love it!
The star on our tree is my favorite! Our tree has mostly green, deep red, and gold ornaments and ribbon. We also have a few other ornaments that I had before we got married, most of them go with Christmas children's books that I have got as presents from my best friend Marianne (giving children's books for birthdays and Christmas has been a tradition of ours since high school) and other family members throughout the years.
After putting up all of our Christmas decorations Justin and I watched the Christmas movie Surviving Christmas together while eating popcorn and mint m&m's! Later Saturday night Melissa came over after her work to come and visit us and see our Christmas tree. We played Skip-Bo and just talked together for a few hours. It was such a fun night!
Oh, and I almost forgot! Justin also put Christmas lights around the front window of our house. They are lots of different colors and when we look into our apartment from the outside it is so so so fun to see the lights and in the middle of the window our amazing Christmas tree! I love Christmas time so very very much! It's the most wonderful time of the year!

So cute Ashley! You SHOULD feel so proud! I CAN'T GET OVER WHAT AN AMAZING DECORATER YOU ARE!! You make anyplace you live feel like a home!! Thank you for taking the time to put up pictures! I LOVE seeing them!!

Thank you again SO MUCH for letting us stay at your house this past weekend. You should know that Juj approached me the other day and said "You know... I really enjoyed spending time with Ashley and Justin. I didn't think I would but their cool... I really had a lot of fun. Justin was so cool at the restaurant, I had fun talking to him etc..."

The comment was such a surprise! I was so happy that Juj felt that way! He has NEVER come out and said something "sentimental" like that! We therefore should hang out again! Soon! ha-ha! I'm glad we all had so much fun! Thank you for your hospitality! I'm sad we didn't take a picture together either, now I can post the event on my blog... sigh... I even had my camera with me... I'm such a dork.

So last night Juj and I put our first Christmas tree up together too! THE HOUSE LOOKS AMAZING! I had more Christmas decorations then I thought, and with the cute ones you gave me... my house just looks amazing... PICTURES COMING SOON ok? Check back on my blog in the next couple of days.

I love going home with my house looking like that Ashley! Juj and I didn't spend a SINGLE CENT with ALL of the Christmas decorations we put up and decorated with! My mom got a new tree this year and let a use her gold decorations to put on the pre-lit Christmas tree I purchased last year... IT LOOKS AMAZING! I wouldn't have chosen gold for my main color originally but it turned out great and for FREE so I'll TAKE IT! ha-ha!

I hope you'll enjoy the pictures I post soon!

Love you girlie! I LOVE being close friends with you!

Hope to see you soon!
