1st On Friday night Katie Zaugg (a girl I used to babysit along with her five other siblings since the time I was about twelve ish!) came up to hang out and stay the night with Justin and I. Katie is looking into becoming a phlebotomist and once she told me that I thought it would be really fun for her to come up and visit me at my work and then hang out for a bit. :) It was lots of fun! Katie got to see me draw blood from few people while we were at my work and then we went home to our apartment and made spaghetti and homemade breadsticks so that we could all eat once Justin got home from work. (my breadsticks turned out sad and flat and greasy once again but I swear one day I will get them right!) After dinner I talked Justin into talking us all to get HELLO YOGURT (my favorite :) !) and then we went back to our apartment and watched ELF until we fell asleep. I couldn't believe how much Katie has grown up. It seems like she should still be the little girl that I babysat so many years ago. But I love so much that we can be friends now- Katie is a senior this year and it's just amazing how the age gap seems to span less and less the older and older we both get.
2nd On Saturday afternoon, after going home to see Ryker get baptized, Justin and I, along with BreAnne and Adam decided to take a trip to the Salt Lake temple. It was amazing. I enjoyed the temple so much and it was so cool to have BreAnne and Adam there with us. It made the temple experience so meaningful to have BreAnne there by my side. We meant to be to the temple for the two o'clock session, but BreAnne and I made us miss it by 3 minutes because we had to go to the bathroom before it started! Opps! And since the Salt Lake Temple only does a session every hour we had to wait for a whole hour until the next session! But it was well worth the wait. After the temple we all went to dinner at Cafe Rio. It was a very good afternoon.
3rd YMCA :) - Our "Young Married Couples Association!" (yeah, we know it is super cheesy, but it works right?) One of Justin's and I's callings in our ward is that we are on the young married couples committee. And so for our calling we get to plan activities for our ward for the young married couples so that we can get together and get to know each other better and learn from each other. So for this month we decided to take a trip to temple square to see the lights and the Joseph Smith Restoration movie. We have about 11 or 12 couples in YMCA and as you can see in this picture there is not quite 24 people that joined us for this "get together"...actually for this trip we ended up just having just us and the 2 other couples in our committee! But we had a blast! Wade, Sarah, Steve and Ani, met us at Cafe Rio to have dinner and then we walked around temple square for a bit to see the lights and then we caught the nine o'clock showing of the Restoration movie. It was the perfect night to see the lights, it was cold, but not too cold. The only thing that could have made it better is if it would have snowed a little! All in all we had a pretty spiritually packed day, starting with Ryker's baptism, then going to the temple and also seeing the Joseph Smith Restoration movie. Justin and I went to bed last night feeling very happy and close to each other, which was so great. I love my wonderful husband and all the fun things that we are able to do together and with our family and friends. :)

Oh my goodness! I can't beilieve how big Katie is! That is so weird, it makes me feel so old. I remember them letting us tumble in their downstairs... that feels like soo long ago. Your little temple date looked like fun with your little "YMCA" group. :) We're gonna go with friends this Friday, Im so excited.
Looks like you had a really fun weekend.
Hey Ash... I just finished doing a couple drafts of your christmas cards. I hope you like them! I am going to post the three ideas I created for you on my blog so you can just copy and paste the card you like onto your computer. They should print as 4X6 pictures. Let me know if there are any problems.
Love you!
Ani

Oh I miss Utah so much, especially around this time of year. Right now it's thundering and lightning and we're under tornado watch. Doesn't feel so much like Christmas to me. I would love to go walk around temple square right now and drink hot chocolate. I just love you two, I hope one day we will get to hang out with you guys.
I'm giving you a blog award! Go to my blog to get it!
