July 18th- 24thDay 1: Saturday we all packed up and headed off to stop at our half way point- Richfield- to stay the night in a hotel.
Day 2: Sunday we went to church in Richfield and then traveled the second half of our journey and arrived at our hotel in Lake Powell in the early afternoon.
Day 3: None of us had ever been to Lake Powell before and on our first day out on the water we were all in awe! It is so beautiful! All the red rock everywhere, and such perfect water. It was real hot but we were all ready to get some color on our pale skin! On Monday there was a storm while we were out on the water and it got us all pretty depressed. We were only able to boat for about half a day that first day but the rest of the week was as hot and nice as ever!
Day 4-Day 6: Tubing!
Fishing! Justin's dad was the only one who caught a fish. This little fish is just a tiny little guy but we were proud nonetheless!
Me and Ryka went tubing together quite a bit. She is such a brave girl and I am a chicken! We both screamed like crazy in between a major amount of giggling. It was great!

And yep, I wakeboarded too! I never got to last summer, so this was my first time trying again for quite a while, but I guess it's kinda like riding a bike cause it all came back to me pretty quickly. I'm not very good by any means, but I did get brave enough to go outside of the wake a couple of times. I was a bit nervous at first, but it was lots of fun and even though I'm sure I'm really boring to watch because I can't do any tricks or anything like Justin, Mckell and Curtis, I had fun just holding on tight and riding along. :)
I did crash a couple of times. And yes, it hurt really badly! I thought my head was going to explode the last time I crashed! And after that I gave up and got back into the boat. Needless to say I might not try to go outside of the wake for a while now!
Miryka wakeboarded for the first time this trip! And she did great. Justin and Curtis got out in the water with her and helped her figure things out and she tried over and over working her hardest to get up and she did such a good job for her first time. She was so scared at first, but she did awesome and I think that after a few runs her fears slowly started fading away and then it was all fun from there on out!

Justin, Justin's dad, Mckell and Curtis also did a lot of wakeboarding and skiing. I didn't get any pictures but a did get some video that turned out okay I hope? I'm not the best at using my camera as a videorecorder... But they all did a great job and are way good at wakeboarding (Justin's dad is very good at slolam skiing!) and it was super fun to watch them out there trying all sorts of tricks. This is me taking a turn at holding the flag. :)
Rainbow Bridge. Isn't it absolutely amazing?! This is the world's largest, natural, freestanding bridge. On Thursday we took the hour and a half boat trip out to see Rainbow Bridge and then after we headed over to Dangling Rope to get ice cream. It was such a good day. We left early Thursday morning and most of us slept on our ride out to the bridge. Then after visiting Dangling Rope we spent the rest of the day swimming, tubing, fishing and wakeboarding.

Each day we liked to go on our own little adventures around this huge lake and besides Rainbow Bridge this place was my favorite. Inside this little canyon looked so cool. The picture doesn't do it justice.
I like this picture a lot. The lighting is perfect and almost captures how amazing it really looked inside this little canyon.
Mckell and Justin both tried to fish for a little bit while we were hidden away in the canyon.
We found this beach on Thursday afternoon and thought it would be fun to stop and have lunch here. The sand was very red and warm and there were red ants everywhere, but we didn't let that stop us from having a little picnic. :)
Justin's dad made sandwiches for all of us.
Justin and Curtis made sure the boat didn't float away while we were eating. :)

I played in the sand. It felt so good to let the water run up and over my burnt feet and legs!
I think this picture is my very favorite of the whole trip. I truly love it and just looking at it reminds me of how much fun we had and how sad I am that the week went by so quickly!
We met a very nice family while on this little beach and this nice guy volunteered to take some pictures for us. His dad is a photographer and did a way better job than we would have with these pictures because the sun was making it hard to get the picture not to turn out dark. I like this picture a lot too.

Day 7: Before lunch at Denny's on our last day. All of us were very sad to leave but very happy that our week turned out so great. We all were very, very reluctant to head out. Justin was pretty done with taking pictures at this point but I made him pull through and help me set up the camera for just a few more!

And yes, we all succeeded in getting a lot of sun! By the end of Thurday night Aloe Vera was our best friend! But I think we all look very nice with our sun darkened skin!
