So a few months ago our ward created a newly married committee just like our old ward and guess who got called to be on the committee again- me and Justin! And on Tuesday night we had our second activity! (We weren't able to make it to our first activity because of work.) For this activity we had planned to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house, BUT we didn't get reservations and Tuesday was a way busy night so we didn't get to go through the temple! Darn it! So, after quickly deciding that we wouldn't let it stop us from having a good night, we took some time at the temple to take some pictures and admire the beautiful temple and then headed out to get some dinner together!
Such a beautiful temple! We are so very blessed here in Utah to have so much access to so many temples enabling us to visit more often the house of our Lord. I love it!

Since there were only three couples that showed up for the activity we decided it would be fun to go out to dinner at the Mayan, a place that we don't have in Provo and has good food and excellent entertainment.
Our downstairs neighbors- Wade and Sarah
The committee heads- Joseph and Julia.
We had such a great night. And honestly it was lots of fun to spend the night out with friends and ward members that are our age and also in our same phase of life. It was so fun for Justin and I to get to know these two couples better by spending some time with them. It was so much fun!

And the entertainment was the best that I've ever seen it. There are divers at the Mayan that do performances every half hour and while we were there we were able to watch them perform three times while we were enjoying our food. (The chips and salsa was my very favorite! Mmm..so good!) I tried to get some good pictures of the divers as they were diving but it was hard to catch them in action. But we were thoroughly entertained! What could be better than a (short) visit to the temple, dinner out, and a night with friends! Justin and I look forward to spending more time with our friends from the ward and meeting lots of other newly married couples from our ward as we continue to have monthly activities together. :)
