Our 3rd Child: A Birth Story

August 27th- In the early morning Justin and I headed to the hospital for my scheduled c-section. I was a horrible basket full of nerves....

The last week or so...

Our General Conference weekend, (April 1st and 2nd) was spent, while watching conference, doing breathing treatments with Keat, which he hated most of the time. We had to do them every 4 hours, even throughout the night. They seemed to help with his breathing, but he was still having a really rough time drinking and eating. In fact, he wasn't really eating or drinking anything at all anymore...
One of his more docile moments during a breathing treatment.
And, well, since the weekend didn't go too great, sadly, on Monday, after visiting the doctor's office again for them to check on how Keaton was doing, our doctor, (who we love so much!) Dr. Clayton, decided that it would be best to put Keaton in the hospital for a bit enable to get him hydrated and hopefully eating again. Plus, while we were there we could get more breathing treatments and some nasal suctioning done, which would help with Keaton's RSV.
It was a sad 2 days that we spent in the hospital (From Monday, April 3rd- Tuesday, April 4th). He had to be poked twice to get his IV, and he didn't like being restricted to his bed and this chair that he is laying in in this picture. It was mostly just Keaton and I at the hospital, (Macy came to visit us!) but because Justin had so much capstone stuff to do for their hybrid race car he ended up doing an all nighter at the school Monday night and wasn't able to come see Keaton until Tuesday morning!
It was a very long night for all of us. But, on Tuesday afternoon Keaton started eating and drinking again and so we got to come home! And, needless to say we were all very tired by the time we came home!
But, of course, Justin still had school stuff he needed to do and so after a nap on Tuesday afternoon Keaton and I went and visited Justin and got a few pictures of Keaton in the race car! We only stayed for a minute, but it was fun to see Justin drive the car he has worked so very hard on these last 2 semesters!

And, of course, like father like son, Keaton knew just what to do!

Tuesday night, after getting back from visiting Justin, we came home to Maddie at our house! And, she since it as her spring break she was able to stay with us till Saturday! It made Keaton very happy. Mad is his very best friend. :) And, I really think her being here with us helped Keaton to get better faster! But, like always, time flew by and before we knew it it was Saturday and time to take Maddie home, and for us to go home and spend the weekend with Justin's family for Easter!

So, we spent Easter weekend (April 7th and 8th) with Justin's family (Well, part of Saturday I spent with my Grandma and Grandpa Craythorne at Maddox! We got lucky and Keaton and I got invited to go to dinner with them to celebrate my Grandma's birthday, since we couldn't go to the Adams family Easter party because of Keaton possibly still being contagious and Justin had to work on more car stuff with his dad. :) And, then after my mom and I went on a quick shopping trip to Payless to look for Keaton some shoes- but that is a whole other story with a not so happy ending!)

But, Saturday night and Sunday we spent with Justin's family and just had a great time. Keaton was in heaven with 3 different Easter baskets- one from my mom, one from Justin's mom, and one from the Easter Bunny, of course!
This is the Easter basket the Easter Bunny brought Keat. (And, he is wearing his super cute monster shirt that my mom gave him.) Keaton has been really into birds lately and so I thought that getting him a few Angry Birds toys and stickers and such would be fun. :)
But, he mostly just enjoyed the Nerd jelly beans that were in one of his eggs! He really could have cared less about anything else. But, I don't hardly blame him those Nerd jelly beans are amazingly delicious! And, of course, I only bought one bag and now Keaton and I are both craving them like crazy, (Okay, maybe just I am, but Keaton does really love them!) and now that Easter is over they are nowhere to be found! (Thanks a lot Ryka for introducing us to an extremely addictive candy that we can't even have again now till next year! Ha, ha! I drove all over all of Orem and Provo last night looking for some on clearance and couldn't find even one single bag! I know, ridiculous, right?! Ha, ha! But, I seriously LOVE them and I am honestly a little bit  a lot a bit! sad and disappointed that I couldn't find any!)

Anyways, we all had a very Happy Easter (besides one very sad part that I will have to post about later!)! And, this week Keaton seems to be feeling a lot better and is drinking and eating a little better too, which makes us all happy. :)
