Keaton had his "18 month" doctor appointment on March 19th (so, technically he was almost 19 months old, but anyway...) the doctor said he was doing pretty good- besides the obvious problems of not drinking and eating as much as he should- nothing we didn't already know. But, at his appointment he weighed in at 21.4 lbs. (<5%) and 30 1/2 inches (5%)... so, he had grown a little taller but hadn't gained much weight since his 1 year check-up.
2nd- On Friday, March 30th, after a week of Keaton not feeling too hot, I finally took him in to the doctor to find out what was up and sadly found out that Keaton had RSV! All I could think really was, "Darn, darn, double darn!" We worked so hard Keaton's first year of life to keep him away from RSV and such, but this year, now that Keaton is bigger, and going to the babysitter, and nursery, it was more, shall we say, impossible? to do that. Oh, well I guess what happens just happens sometimes, but we did have one very sad boy on our hands for quite a few days! (I did think that since it is Spring now, that we might have been safe from getting RSV, but no go on that one I guess)
After we got home from finding out the sad news our friends Matt and JeriAnn stopped by to pick up Justin to go to the Jazz game, (I was going to go, but since Keaton was sick that couldn't happen anymore :( ) and they brought by their new puppy, Charlie, and Keaton just loved him!
Okay, so he doesn't look like he loves him in these pictures, but it had been a very LONG afternoon and he was really not feeling too hot, but the puppy did make him very happy. :)
The day before we found out that Keaton had RSV I was really, really tired after working a night shift and so in an effort to keep myself awake to take care of Keaton I decided to clean and rearrange our apartment. It was the only thing that kept me going all day. Although Justin wasn't too impressed with the changes... and I admit, the new layout in our family room is a bit strange... but, I needed a change and we will only be in this apartment for 2 more months, so why not do something fun and crazy?!
The back part of the family room.
The front part of the family room.
A view of the family room from in from of the TV.
A view of the family room from behind the couch.
And I even rearranged the kitchen a little bit.
Yeah, yeah, I know it is strange, but I am honestly lovin' the change!
