September 4th-
Aisley's 1! (an update all about Miss Aisley Pearl written on September 18th)
It is really hard for me to believe that it has already been an entire year since this beautiful ray of sunshine joined our family. I just don't even know what we would do without our Aisley Pearl. She adds so much happiness to our family and we are so very grateful for her.
(This picture brings back so many amazing memories... babies are such a blessing.)
At Aisley's well check appointment she weighed 14 lbs. 10 oz., was 25.75 inches long. (Once again, and just like Keaton, Aisley's head is by far the biggest thing about her- Aisley's height and weight <1 55="" aisley="" always="" and="" be="" been="" br="" circumference="" girl="" has="" head="" her="" little="" love="" nbsp="" probably="" s="" that="" this="" way="" we="" will="">

Just a couple of days ago Aisley popped up onto her knees to crawl instead of army crawling! She loves to crawl everywhere and each day I find something else that I need to baby proof. :) Aisley is now pulling herself up to at the bottom of the stairs and furniture now too. One morning right after her birthday she even was standing up in her crib!
A couple of days before our 6th anniversary I stopped nursing Aisley. Now, Aisley only drinks bottles. And, when I say only I mean only... Aisley suddenly has quite the aversion to food and really doesn't like much of anything (especially baby food- or any spoon fed foods). She will sometimes eat crackers or try one or 2 bites of something new, but then you try to feed her more and she makes a funny face and won't try another bite. Ugh. (This totally stresses me out!) I hope this is a quick phase and that soon enough she will do better about eating real food.
Aisley is always a great sleeper at night. She isn't always so great about taking naps. She still needs 2 naps a day, but over the last couple of weeks I'm lucky to get her to take 1, and some days I can't even get her to do that. On bad nap days she is ready for bed by 6 pm (sometimes earlier)!
Aisley is teething and we all know it! Ha, ha. Aisley has 2 tiny bottom teeth and she has been fussy, sad, and extremely slobbery over the past few weeks since shortly before that 1st tooth broke through her gums (Which was on August 16th!). I'm hoping her teething is a major factor into why she won't eat baby food/any type of food. Sadly, as far as getting teeth go, this is only the beginning! Ha, ha!
Aisley loves to be on the floor crawling around and playing with her toys and with brother, but she also loves to be held and if I'm sitting on the floor playing with the kids, or sitting on the couch reading my book, or working on the computer, Aisley finds her way over to me every 5 minutes or so for quick squeeze (sometimes longer) before she is ready to be down on the ground again ready to play. Aisley doesn't like it very much when I leave the room and often cries for a second or two before she realizes she really is okay.
Aisley's hair is getting thicker. She still doesn't have too much hair, but I love it when she wakes up from a nap and the little bit of hair she does have is all crazy looking. :) It's so cute!
Aisley can sign "more" and "all done!"
Our Miss Aisley Pearl is such a happy, loving, wonderful baby girl! Everyday she is learning new things and it's so much fun to watch her grow and develop. And even though there are days when I wish she was still a newborn baby, I'm so grateful for her happy, gentle spirit in our lives!
