"Home is wherever I am with you."

Well, this is where we live. Our {1st ever} home. (I finally was able to get a good picture since the window man came and moved his stuff to the back of the house instead of the front. Still is yet to finish the windows though...) It's a cute little house don't ya think? We are really lovin' it!
While my mom was here she helped me to decorate a little. We got our cute little flag for a dollar at Dollar Tree (with the added bonus that it glows in the dark!) and my nice mom bought us those cute hanging flower baskets which we decided would be fun to wrap up in 4th of July "confetti" (for lack of a better name for it at the moment...).
I came out one day to water these cute flower baskets and in one of them I found a tiny little bird nest that I could tell had been made with care and love. (Sorry, it was too hard to get a good picture of it.) But, I became a bit distressed because I had to water the flowers and I knew by doing so it would probably deter the sweet bird from coming back to its newly made nest. And sure enough, the perfect little nest is still there but I haven't seen a bird around it since. Sad story.
Another token of our patriotism. A cute pinwheel that my mom bought for Keaton to put in with Justin's newly planted flowers. (Don't look too close... some are dying... apparently it has been a little hot here or something. ;) )
Also, I wanted to get a picture of our fun solar lights (also from Dollar Tree). They work better than I expected and I love walking out at night and seeing their tiny light shining away.
I've said it before, but EVERYONE in our little branch here has been so very kind to us since we have moved here (especially with the rough stuff that we have been going through the past couple of weeks), everyone has been so compassionate and loving. One sweet family- the Munoz's- dropped by a Color Wonder coloring book and markers for Keaton one night along with this lovely bird feeder. Isn't it great?! I'm in love with it. Now, if I could only find a way to get the birds to find it?? (We might have to move its location cause I haven't seen even a single bird enjoying it yet. :( )
Last week, at Target, (which is about 45 minutes from here in a town called Norfolk- my friend Kari from the branch went there with Keaton and I as a little getaway for the day...) we found this cute little watering can for Keaton to use to help daddy water all the new flowers he planted. (Please excuse the "girlish" colors it was the only kids watering can they had and Keaton doesn't seem to mind one bit so...)
Keaton loves watering the flowers! What a great little helper we have!
